Heather’s passion for social change was sparked at a young age from her personal experiences as a young carer looking after her mum with severe mental health issues.  Heather and her family faced significant difficulties accessing support and have experienced first-hand the inequalities and lack of support available for people with a mental health illness and their families.  Heather lives in Perth and Kinross and has 3 children and in her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family.  Heather qualified in the Community Brokerage Award in 2020.
